Favorite Track: "Death or Glory" This album was made for my drives to Richmond during the Summer. Even the critics agree that this is a great album. I think Rolling Stone named this the best rock 'n roll album of all time. There is such a mixture of styles on this album, and the Clash pull it off well. On the other hand, I'm not sure that any other band could make pure rock 'n roll songs as well as The Clash. Listen to "Death or Glory" or "Clampdown" to hear how good they are at this. There's ska, reggae, and jazzy stuff in there as well. It is all excellent and very fun to listen to. Guaranteed to put you in a good mood. Go to the All Music Guide and check out their review. |
