Magnetic Fields Holiday (1994)
Favorite Track: "Swinging London" This is the first Magnetic Fields album I listened to, and I still think it's their best. The Magnetic Fields is primarily a one-man band. Stephen Merritt writes all the songs but enlists the other members in his band to help him record and perform in concerts. This album is electronic all the way through and is very densely layered. I love Merritt's voice. It makes an interesting coupling with the strictly-synthesized music. Go to the All Music Guide and check out their review. |
