Favorite Track: "Pass the Mic"
This album was so cool because it had such a great mix of rap and funky mini-jams in it. This was the first Beasties album I bought after Licensed to Ill and I thought it was awesome. I still do think it is awesome. I remember almost being embarassed that I liked this album because the Beastie Boys were so stereotyped by their Licensed to Ill album. They had definitely changed since my 4th grade year. "Pass the Mic" is the ultimate sing-along song. The hip-hop songs are great, as are their jam-sessions. My brother and I used to play these songs in our garage; I could play them since Yauch's bass lines weren't very complicated :) This album brings me back to high school.
